July - September 2008

Dear Faithful Friends,

             Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and financial support of this ministry.  You are such a blessing to our family and ministry, and your giving has helped us greatly as we have traveled the many miles preaching the good news that Jesus Saves!  We appreciate your praying for our meetings over the past three months.  We have conducted meetings in Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Texas, Kansas, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Nevada.  God has been faithful, and we praise Him that the meetings have been fruitful.

            During these past months, we have been so blessed to see the Lord doing a great work in many peoples lives.  There have been several folks saved in the meetings, as well as many who have surrendered themselves to walk more closely with Christ.  The stories of these blessings are to many to tell, and so I just want to highlight a couple of them. 

            One thing that comes to mind immediately was a meeting we held in Manhattan, Kansas.  During the Sunday morning service, the pastor had invited a special color guard from Fort Riley military base.  When the invitation was given, one of the soldiers in the color guard came and trusted Christ.  What is interesting is that he was a stand-in that was taking the place of one of the regular members of the guard.

            Another story that I am reminded of took place while we were in meetings at Mountain View Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.  On Sunday morning, a young lady came and trusted Christ.  I noticed during the invitation that the pastor’s family was particularly excited about this young woman coming.  I found out later that it was because she was the pastor’s sister-in-law, a woman for whom they had been praying very particularly for some time.  Praise God for answering those prayers!

            Please, continue to pray for us and to stand with us as we preach Christ!  As you are praying for our family and ministry, please pray specifically for some of the following needs:

1. Pray for an increase in our monthly support level.  The dramatic increase in travel expenses in recent months have made this an absolute necessity.  We are currently at about 30% of the level of support we need.

2. Pray for the Lord to provide the funds for some much needed maintenance and repair work for our truck and trailer.  We need to have some structural work on our trailer, major roof repair work, replacement of one air conditioner, tire and brake work, and flooring work in the bathroom of our trailer.  These repairs will cost between $5000 and $8000.  Please, pray that this need will be met in a timely manner.  PRAISE THE LORD, some funds have already been given, and we only need about $2500 more.

3. Pray for safety and provision for our family and ministry as we travel.

            Thank you again for standing with our ministry so faithfully.  We love and appreciate you all.  We are excited about seeing what God is going to do in the weeks ahead.
